Guest: Noruivae of Snowbourn

Rate:

You've already met Noruivae Taranthir of Snowbourn, the golden guardian of Lothlórien. Her shiny golden armour serves her well, but it's just not enough to keep her warm when she ventures into freezing climate of Misty Mountains. At those times she turns into a frost queen, protected by the finest steel armour forged by ancient elven smiths.

Chest: Tough Elven-Steel Jacket, umber dye (drop from Barad Gúlaran)
Legs: Enduring Elven-Steel Leggings of Might, black dye (drop from Barad Gúlaran)
Hands: Fingerless Gloves, black dye (winter festival)
Feet: Boots of the Eorlingas, default dye (Isengard pre-order)
Back: Fancy Snow-cloak, washed (winter festival; also available in store)

  1. this submission counts among my favourite i've ever received. i love the frost queen look, the cape really compliments pale elven skin and the parts go together really well.

  2. I'm so glad you liked this outfit as much as you do. Just to note, the chest and leggings can also be found in places such as Angmar and Forochel as random drops :)

  5. She reminds me of one Siberian legend - about a shaman woman Sinilga who turned into a vengeful spirit of cold...

    Wonderful!

  6. One problem with making outfits for snow conditions is that none of the gloves seem bulky enough. I've tried to make "arctic explorer" outfits for Misty Mountains and Forochel and my characters always look as if their fingers are in danger of frostbite. Any ideas?

  7. You should try the "oven mitts" from the Rift cosmetics. Example here: https://cosmeticlotro.wordpress.com/2011/04/19/april-snow/

  8. Those look like a good idea. How exactly do you get a "Rift cosmetic", and can you dye them white?
